Ohaupo Hub is owned and administered by The Ohaupo Community, Sport and Recreation Centre Trust.
The Trust has 8 trustees, 4 appointed by the Waipa Mayor and Deputy Mayor (or nominees) on behalf of the wider Ohaupo community and 4 appointed by the Ohaupo Rugby and Sports Club. The Trust is a registered charity.

The Hub was built in 2019/2020 by local company Waikato Construction Management (Coresteel Waikato). The Hub was officially opened on 29 June 2020 by Waipa Mayor Jim Mylchreest.
